Just yesterday, Christina DeCicco joined the cast of Broadway's high-flying spectacular, Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark in the role of 'Arachne.' Today we are talking to a versatile stage and screen actress who has scored in a number of unique roles on Broadway and around the country in addition to making a recent mark with her work on the Broadway-themed web series IT COULD BE WORSE - the passionate and compelling Alison Fraser. Discussing her vast resume and some of her most fondly remembered performances to date, Fraser opens up about her remarkable career thus far - including her work originating parts in IN TROUSERS, MARCH OF THE FALSETTOS, THE SECRET GARDEN, ROMANCE/ROMANCE, GUNMETAL BLUES, THE DIVINE SISTER and more - and looks ahead to her most recent projects, current, upcoming and beyond. Most importantly, Fraser details the finer points of LOVE THERAPY, the new Wendy Beckett play she stars in Off-Broadway and outlines her continuing collaboration onstage with the playwright, having previously starred in CHARITY CASE, as well as what we can expect from the realistic new drama, opening April 29. Additionally, Fraser sheds some light on her recent work in the world premiere of the Tennessee Williams play IN MASKS OUTRAGEOUS AND AUSTERE and how that led to her new solo revue, THE TENNESSEE WILLIAMS SONGBOOK. Award-winning stage and screen actress Fiona Shaw returned to Broadway last night, April 22, for the opening of The Testament of Mary, by the acclaimed author Colm Toibin, directed by Deborah Warner. The production will run for a twelve-week limited engagement through Sunday, June 16, at the Walter Kerr Theatre. Check out photos from the opening below!

Just yesterday, SPIDER-MAN: Turn Off the Dark celebrated tax day by holding a day-after-tax-day giveaway to honor the true heroes of the tax season. The first fifty Certified Public Accountants to arrive at the Foxwoods Theatre were given a pair of tickets to the evening's performance. An Evening with Justin Brill - Direct from playing Boq on the first national tour of Wicked, Justin Brill brings an evening of songs and stories tracing his path from his home in Annapolis, Maryland to Broadway and beyond.

Broadway veteran Justin Brill will return for a two-day master class today, April 13 and 14, 2:00-5:00 PM at Lakewood Theatre. Mr. Brill conducted a one-day Musical Theatre Workshop at LTC last year while in Portland with the National Tour of Wicked, which resulted in an overwhelming response.

Deadline reports that Adam Shankman is currently in discussions with MGM to helm THE MACHINE.

Film, television and stand-up comedy star Wanda Sykes will appear for her very first stand-up comedy concerts in Sacramento, California Friday, May 10 at Sacramento Community Center Theater and in San Rafael, California Saturday, May 11 at the Marin Center. The hit musical comedy Nice Work If You Can Get It, which recently welcomed Tony Award nominee Jessie Mueller, John Treacy Egan and Conrad John Schuck to the production, celebrated one year on Broadway after yesterday's matinee. Just yesterday, the cast of SPIDER-MAN: Turn Off the Dark got a visit from a second grade class from PS 69. The 26 students, most of whom had never seen a Broadway show before, stuck around after the show to get a photo with stars Jake Epstein and Rebecca Faulkenberry. Sundance Institute just presented playwright and Sundance Institute Theatre Lab alum Branden Jacobs-Jenkins with the first-ever Tennessee Williams Award from the Institute's Theatre Program, which supports the development of new work for the stage. Sundance Institute Emeritus Trustee Sally Field presented the honor and accompanying $10,000 grant at the Celebrate Sundance Institute benefit for its Theatre Program last night at Stephan Weiss Studio in Greenwich Village. Renowned musical theatre composer and lyricist Scott Alan just announced via Tumblr that he will be hosting a reading of HOME, written by Christy Hall and himself, on July 1, 2013, directed by Stafford Arima.
