QUEEN SUGAR Season Three Debuts with Two-Night Premiere Event 5/29 and 5/30 on OWN

'Queen Sugar,' the critically acclaimed drama series from Academy award-nominated filmmaker Ava DuVernay ('A Wrinkle in Time,' '13th,' 'Selma'), executive producer Oprah Winfrey and Warner Horizon Scripted Television, returns for its third season with a two-night premiere event on OWN Tuesday, May 29, and Wednesday, May 30 (10 p.m. ET/PT each night). The series will regularly air Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Continuing a creative initiative established in the show's first season, series creator/executive producer DuVernay has once again assembled an all-female directing team for the third consecutive season. Season 3 directors include DeMane Davis, Patricia Cardoso, Shaz Bennett, Maria Govan and Lauren Wolkstein, several of whom will be making their television directorial debut, with additional names to be announced.

Scandal Cast To Perform Live Stage Reading Of Series Finale To Benefit The Actors Fund 4/19

The Actors Fund - the national human services organization that fosters stability and resiliency, and provides a safety net for performing arts and entertainment professionals over their lifespan - announced today that the cast of ABC's SCANDAL will reunite for a one-night-only LIVE staged reading of the highly-anticipated final episode on Thursday, April 19 - the same night the series finale airs on television! All proceeds from this once in a lifetime event will benefit The Actors Fund's programs and services.

The Reese Witherspoon/Kerry Washington Led Series LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE Lands At Hulu

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Hulu has acquired the upcoming series LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE starring Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon. This television adaptation of Celeste Ng's best-selling novel LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE sparked a multiple-outlet bidding war and eventually was quickly ordered by Hulu.

Freeform Presents the World Premiere Watch Party of 'Marvel's Cloak & Dagger' at South by Southwest

Freeform, Disney's young adult television network, today announced “Marvel's Cloak & Dagger” will have its world premiere watch party during South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, on March 11, as partner programming. The premiere will mark Freeform and Marvel Television's first presence at SXSW. “Marvel's Cloak & Dagger” is the story of Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph) – two teenagers from very different backgrounds, who find themselves burdened by and awakened to newly discovered superpowers which are mysteriously linked to one another.

60 Aspiring Artists Nominated For 2018 U.S. Presidential Scholars In The Arts

The National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) today announced the nominees for the 2018 U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts, one of the nation's highest honors for high school students who exemplify academic and artistic excellence. YoungArts is the sole nominating agency for this high honor and the 60 candidates, representing 25 states and nine artistic disciplines, are all YoungArts winners. The students have been nominated to the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program for their artistic achievement on the heels of the organization's annual signature program, National YoungArts Week, which concluded in Miami on January 14.

The National YoungArts Foundation Launches Regional Programs in LA, NYC, and Miami

National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) President and CEO Carolina Garc a Jayaram announces details for the organization's 2018 regional programs in Miami, Los Angeles and New York. Spanning the country, YoungArts regional programs are modeled after National YoungArts Week, the organization's signature program held annually in Miami. This year, 757 YoungArts winners extraordinarily talented aspiring artists ages 15 18 or grades 10 12 from 47 states will have the opportunity to participate in classes led by master teachers such as Inna Faliks (1996 Winner in Classical Music), Marina Lomazov, Roger Bonair-Agard, Patricia Engel, Kimberly Browning, and more.
