Grammy Award-winner and actress Ashanti, The View's Joy Behar, Sex and the City's Mario Cantone, Ugly Betty's Mark Indelicato, and Gossip Girl's Matthew Settle will be among the cast of THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD NOT TAKEN, a one-night-only benefit performance celebrating the 5th Anniversary of the Broadway smash WICKED.

In honor of its 5th Anniversary on Broadway on October 30, the blockbuster musical Wicked will host several special events and promotions throughout the month of October. Highlights include THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD NOT TAKEN, a one-night-only benefit performance featuring songs and scenes cut from early drafts of the musical, as well as two of New York's most recognizable landmarks going green in honor of our anniversary: on October 27, the Empire State Building will glow green for the night and on October 30, Playbill's trademark yellow banner will be specially printed green, the first time in the publication's history that it has altered its masthead.

Composer and Lyricist Scott Alan is currently back in the recording studio recording his follow up CD to his successful debut, 'Dreaming Wide Awake.'

Beginning performances Tuesday, June 24, AARON TVEIT will play Fiyero in the Broadway musical WICKED. He joins a cast which will include Kerry Ellis as Elphaba (beginning June 17), Kendra Kassebaum as Glinda, Jayne Houdyshell as Madame Morrible (beginning June 17), Lenny Wolpe as The Wizard, Cristy Candler as Nessarose, Ben Liebert as Boq, and Steven Skybell as Dr. Dillamond.

From Monday 9 June 2008, WICKED will star Alexia Khadime as Elphaba, Dianne Pilkington as Glinda, Oliver Tompsett as Fiyero, Harriet Thorpe as Madame Morrible, Desmond Barrit as The Wizard, Caroline Keiff as Nessarose, Jeremy Legat as Boq and Andy Mace as Doctor Dillamond. Ashleigh Gray will be Standby Elphaba and Sarah Earnshaw will be Standby Glinda.

Alexia Khadime, currently starring as 'Nala' in Disney's The Lion King, is to star as Elphaba in WICKED at London's Apollo Victoria Theatre from Monday 9 June until Saturday 29 November 2008.
