The Summer Play Festival (SPF) announces casting for the eagerly anticipated 2009 Festival in New York City. Casts include stage and screen actress Ally Sheedy; Ari Graynor, recently seen in NICK AND NORAH'S INFINITE PLAYLST; Maulik Pancholy, regular on the Showtime hit WEEDS and NBC's 30 ROCK; Katherine Waterston, who broke out in THE BABYSITTERS; Aya Cash, recently seen in Manhattan Theater Club's FROM UP HERE; and Eddie Kay Thomas, from the AMERICAN PIE movie series.

Eight productions have been announced for the eagerly anticipated 2009 Summer Play Festival (SPF).
For its upcoming season, SPF will again be presented at The Public Theater. SPF 2009 will run from July 7 to August 2 and, as in years past, is expected to serve as a highlight of the summer theatre season by showcasing a line-up of new talent.

Curated by Dominic D'Andrea, the festival displays the talents of over forty emerging American playwrights and will be mounted at Barrow Group Arts Center in New York on Saturday October 25th at 8PM and Sunday, October 26th at 2PM and 8PM. The 2008 One-Minute Play Directors include Carlos Armesto, Dylan McCullough, Kim Weild, Claire Lundberg, Dominic D'Andrea, Lou Moreno, Shelley Butler, Jacob Krueger, & Michael Gardner.
