Last night, February 14, Naked Angels celebrated its 25th anniversary as one of the most innovative theatre companies in New York with a spectacular Gala, including cocktails, an elegant dinner and skits written and performed by Naked Angels company members. Company Members Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick served as Honorary Co-Chairs for the evening, with entertainment directed by Tony Award-winning Company Member Joe Mantello.
Naked Angels will celebrate its 25th Anniversary as one of the most innovative theatre companies in New York with a spectacular Gala at Roseland Ballroom (239 West 52nd Street). Naked Angels company members Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are Honorary Co-Chairs for the event. Conceived as an imagined history of Naked Angels - and promising to be bigger than all of the company's previous parties put together - One Big Ball will be a frivolous and inauthentic romp through Naked Angels' 25 years, written and performed by Naked Angels members, with many friends and surprise guests. Naked Angels company members and special guests will stage a benefit performance of selected pieces from The Issues Project: Collected Plays, a collection of Naked Angels-produced short plays recently published by Playscripts, Inc. The benefit will be held at The Peter Jay Sharp Theatre (416 West 42nd Street) on Thursday, January 28th at 7:30 PM. The one-hour program will be hosted and directed by Artistic Director Geoffrey Nauffts, and will be followed by a VIP reception with the artists. Proceeds from the sold-out event will benefit Naked Angels' New Play Development Fund.
