Lorna's Pink Party, the first of two benefit nights hosted by entertainment legend LORNA LUFT and featuring her special guest LIZA MINNELLI, played to a sold-out crowd at New York City's Birdland last evening. Along with a second appearance scheduled for October 21st, both evenings combined raised total of $120,000 to support the two charities.
The word "iconic" is bandied about with frequency these days, but last night's premiere installment of "Lorna's Pink Party" at Birdland was the happy scene for several recreations of historic showbiz moments. They'll all do it again next Monday, October 21 - but last night, hostess Lorna Luft and sister Liza Minnelli joined forces in a thrilling blast-from-the-past performance that left the jam-packed crowd cheering, stomping and begging for more.
