Birdland Jazz Club has announced its line-up of talent for October 21-27, featuring: Lorna's Pink Party; Peter Eldridge with Jane Monheit; Kurt Elling; Barbara Carroll; Jim Caruso's Cast Party; The Birdland Jazz Party featuring Hilary Gardner, and more!

Lorna's Pink Party, the first of two benefit nights hosted by entertainment legend LORNA LUFT and featuring her special guest LIZA MINNELLI, played to a sold-out crowd at New York City's Birdland last evening. Along with a second appearance scheduled for October 21st, both evenings combined raised total of $120,000 to support the two charities.

The word "iconic" is bandied about with frequency these days, but last night's premiere installment of "Lorna's Pink Party" at Birdland was the happy scene for several recreations of historic showbiz moments. They'll all do it again next Monday, October 21 - but last night, hostess Lorna Luft and sister Liza Minnelli joined forces in a thrilling blast-from-the-past performance that left the jam-packed crowd cheering, stomping and begging for more. The Actors Fund, the nationwide human services organization that helps all professionals in performing arts and entertainment, last night presented the 2013 edition of Nothing Like a Dame: Lorna's Pink Party, a benefit for the Phyllis NewmanWomen's Health Initiative and the Dr. Philomena McAndrew Fund of Tower Cancer Research Foundation. This highly anticipated event, starring entertainment legend Lorna Luft with her special guest Liza Minnelli will continue on Monday, October 21st at 7 pm, at Birdland, 315 West 44th Street, New York City. Tonight, September 30, DIVA hosts Broadway star Amber Iman. Iman is currently starring as Nina Simone in Soul Doctor at the Circle in the Square Theater. She also appeared off Broadway in A Civil War Christmas and RENT.
