The Recording Industry Association of America Adds Digital Streaming to Gold & Platinum Standards

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) today announced the integration of streams to its historic Gold & Platinum (G&P) Program, the industry's premier award for recognizing artistic achievement in the marketplace. On-demand audio and/or video song streams will now be counted towards the 500,000 (Gold), 1,000,000 (Platinum) and 2,000,000 plus (multi-Platinum) thresholds required for G&P's Digital Single Award certification.
Patti Austin and John Legend to be Inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame

Versatile vocalist/entertainer Patti Austin, and critically-acclaimed recording artist John Legend will be inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame at this year's Opening Night at the Hollywood Bowl, Saturday, June 22, at8 pm. The two join previously announced inductees for this year, Steven Tyler andJoe Perry of iconic rock band AEROSMITH.
