On Monday, December 20, Birdland regulars Klea Blackhurst, Billy Stritch and Jim Caruso premiered the sixth season of their yearly SWINGING BIRDLAND CHRISTMAS run to a packed house at the historic music room. Scroll down for photos!

The holiday season is here at last, and in just weeks, the world will be spreading yuletide cheer by decking the halls, wrapping the gifts and sipping the eggnog. There are plenty of ways to join in the spirit, because for theatre fans, Broadway is everywhere this season... and BroadwayWorld has a complete guide of where to find it!

Birdland will kick-off their great week of programming with the following acts:

Kat Gang, recently nominated as "Best Jazz Singer" for the 2015 BroadwayWorld New York Cabaret Awards, is performing every Wednesday night at The Plaza Hotel from 8:30-11:30 pm. With her quartet of Matthew Fries on piano, Phil Palombi on bass and Tim Bulkley on drums, Kat Gang brings her unique vocal style described as a 'musical breath of fresh air' to the stunning Rose Club at the Plaza Hotel, the iconic landmark (at 768 Fifth Avenue at 59th Street).

Birdland Jazz Club has announced its December 2015 schedule, featuring Saxophone Summit: Joe Lovano, Dave Liebman and Greb Osby, Eliane Elias, The Birdland Big Band, Lesli Margherita, Swingin' Birdland Christmas, Freddy Cole, Jim Caruso's Cast Party and more!

On Monday night, the Broadway at Birdland concert series kicked off a four-night run starring Tony Award-winning actress/singer Christine Ebersole and Grammy Award-winning composer/pianist/singer Billy Stritch in OUR FAVORITE THINGS. The show will run through Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26, with shows nightly at 6pm. BroadwayWorld has photos from the concert below!

John Schneider and Tom Wopat - the original stars of 'The Dukes of Hazzard' - will release a special vinyl version of their acclaimed holiday album HOME FOR CHRISTMAS. The LP will be available today, November 20 at TomWopat.com. They will celebrate the vinyl release with concerts on December 5 (John Schneider Studios in Holden, LA), December 16 (The Lyric Theatre in Stuart, FL) and December 20 (a Tom solo show at the Ringling Theater in Baraboo, WI).

Simon & Schuster Audio and Little Simon welcome Tony and Grammy Award-winning actress Bernadette Peters as narrator of a new collection of Kay Thompson and Hilary Knight's classic Eloise stories Eloise, Eloise in Paris, Eloise in Moscow, and Eloise at Christmas Time to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the very first Eloise publication. These stories will be available in special book and CD combinations as well as an audiobook-only collection today, October 27, 2015.

Performers Jim Caruso and Billy Stritch will be premiering their brand new show, "The Sinatra Century," on the Main Stage at Rose Theatre in Brampton, Ontario on Thursday, October 15 at 8pm. Caruso and Stritch, who have performed extensively on their own, gained national exposure together as the host and musical director of the wildly popular variety show, "Cast Party," which celebrates talent every Monday at Birdland in NYC, tours nationally, and was part of last season's Lincoln Center American Songbook series.  They are also in residency at Bemelmans at The Carlyle Hotel in Manhattan, where the duo is constantly in the news when showbiz heavy-hitters like Liza Minnelli, Bono and Michael Feinstein join them in impromptu performances.  The duo is also touring the world with Liza Minnelli's new concert, 'Great Day.'

Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch return to Bemelmans Bar at The Carlyle Hotel with an evening of swinging standards every Sunday in September, November and December, from 9pm - 12 midnight.  The duo has recently added dozens of songs made famous by Frank Sinatra to their repertoire, thanks to their current national tour of The Sinatra Century.  In this upcoming Carlyle run, Caruso and Stritch will be joined by bassist Steve Doyle.
