But when a corrupt Mayor and her government goons try to stop this heroic feat, Melvin is tossed into a vat of toxic waste and transformed into The Toxic Avenger, New Jersey's first superhero! 

A national London-based arts producer and Manchester's newest theatre have announced a major collaboration which will put the venue on the arts map in the North of England. Aria Entertainment has joined forces with Hope Mill Theatre in Ancoats to spearhead the venue as a platform to showcase and revive musical theatre.

Katy Lipson of Aria Entertainment is proud to announce that the celebrated From Page to Stage Season of new musicals will be returning again next year and will once again be held at the Tristan Bates Theatre from October 31st-December 3rd 2016.

The life and music of legendary Broadway composer Jonathan Larson will be celebrated in a special one-off concert on Monday 25 January 2016, when Seasons of Larson will play for one night only at the Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue.

Aria Entertainment today announces the casts and creative teams for the eight shows in the third From Page To Stage season of new musicals, running from Monday 26 October to Saturday 21 November.

What happens next in the iconic Puccini story? The son of Madam Butterfly has travelled to America to meet his father for the first time but he's brought the ghost of his mother too. The play blends the music and myths from the original opera with a new score by one of the UK's leading contemporary composers, Michael Finnissy (whose work was last heard in London at the Proms) and tells a new story using Japanese dance, masks, shadow work and physical theatre. Ignacio Jarquin sings and plays all the characters accompanied by an ensemble of four musicians on stage.

Almost 20 years after its last UK production, The Who's Tommy will play a limited run at Greenwich Theatre this Summer, marking the 40th Anniversary of the original film and the 50th Anniversary of The Who. The show runs tonight 29 July through 23 August 2015.
