Dallas Theater Center announced today the cast and design team of Giant, a co-production with The Public Theater, which runs at the Wyly Theatre Jan. 18 - Feb. 19, 2012.

Broadway Speaks OUT! will host its 3rd annual A Very MARY Holiday gala on Thursday, December 8 at Playwrights Horizons. The event, hosted by Marti Gould Cummings, will feature performances by Saycon Sengbloh, Bobby Cronin, Katie Thompson, Lauren Elder, Marty Thomas and his Divas, The Broadway Dolls, Stephanie Umoh and more to be announced.

Founded by Rory O'Malley (Book of Mormon), Gavin Creel (Hair), and Jenny Kanelos, Broadway Impact is a grassroots organization of the Theatre community and it's fans, mobilizing in support of marriage equality.

Kimberley Locke, Adam Pascal, Terri White, Logo's A-List Cast Members et al. Will Sing For Pride at One-Night-Only NYC Benefit Recording Artist and American Idol finalist Kimberley Locke, Tony Award nominee Colman Domingo (The Scottsboro Boys) will join Drama Desk Award nominee Terri White (Follies Revival) with a special appearance by Tony Award nominee Adam Pascal (Rent), who will be among the lineup of performers set for Broadway Sings For Pride: The Winter Holiday Concert.

Headliners! Starring Katie Thompson (So You Think You Can Dance/Spider-Musical), Carly Jibson (Cry Baby, Hairspray, All My Children), Kacie Sheik (Hair, We Will Rock You), and Celina Carvajal (Tarzan, Cats, MTV The Search for Elle Woods) is an all star concert series consisting of four very distinct female recording artists from New York City.

Following eighteen sold out shows, the hit cabaret series, SONDHEIM UNPLUGGED, will continue for an nineteenth installment, Sunday, October 30 at 7pm at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Sondheim Unplugged is currently celebrating the second year of it's smash run, having begun this journey of celebrating Sondheim in July of 2010. The series will close, following an unprecedented 17 month run, with it's 20th performance on Monday, November 28 @ 7pm.

The Broadway aimed musical adaption of the 90's cult classic Jawbreaker will receive an industry reading in Manhattan on October 13th under the direction of Gabriel Barre. With a book by Darren Stein (writer and director of the film) and a score by Jeffrey Thomson and Jordan Mann (Jonathan Larson award winners), the cast includes Diana DeGarmo (Hair, Hairspray), Joanna Glushak (Les Miserables, Urinetown), Van Hughes (American Idiot, 9 to 5, Hairspray), Tracy McDowell (Rent), Ryah Nixon, Marty Thomas (Wicked, Xanadu) and Libby Winters (American Idiot).

The NYC Dance Alliance Foundation held its 1st Annual Bright Lights, Shining Stars Gala at the Jack H. Skirball Center for the Performing Arts at NYU and clearly delivered on its promise of a star studded evening of music & dance with one show-stopping number after another. The American Songbook Project will launch a new program called 'The Art of Song Performance,' a workshop on July 10th-15th, 2011, in New York City. The summer intensive features classes in all styles of song performance, including Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and contemporary rock songs, taught by a host of luminaries from the theatre and cabaret community.
