What a remarkable age this is! The five-time Tony Award-winning 'TitanicThe Musical' sets sail for the Moonlight Amphitheatre from Aug. 17, 2016 to Sept. 3, 2016 at 8 p.m. The production made port on the Broadway stage in March 1997 and won five Tony Awards that same year, including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score, Best Scenic Design and Best Orchestrations. The musical 'Titanic' is a factual story, a far cry from James Cameron's film, that examines the causes, conditions and characters involved in this ever-fascinating drama, and honors the lives lost on the fateful journey. Tickets are $10 to $55 and general lawn admission is $8 to $20 and includes a lawn chair provided at entry. The winners of the 2013 Globe Honors and The Road to the Jimmy Awards, the annual competition recognizing excellence in high school theater throughout San Diego County, were announced on Monday, May 20 after the final round of competition was held on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. The Old Globe's Road to the Jimmy Award Finals Set for 5/21

Preliminary round auditions for the 2012 Globe Honors and The Road to the Jimmy™ Awards, an annual competition recognizing excellence in high school theater, will take place on May 5, 6 and 7 at The Old Globe. Presented annually by The Old Globe, and this year in association with Broadway/San Diego - A Nederlander Presentation, final rounds will take place on May 21 at 8:00 p.m. on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, and conclude with the announcement of the winners. 2011 Globe Honors Auditions to Take Place 5/7 -9

Recognizing excellence in high school theater, auditions for the 2011 Globe Honors competition will take place May 7-9 at The Old Globe. Semifinalists and finalists will perform in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, on May 16 at 7:00 p.m. The evening will conclude with the announcement of the Globe Honors winners and an award ceremony.

Honors Winners Compete in NYC At HS Musical Theatre Awards

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced that Globe Honors winner Katie Sapper was one of three leading actress finalists at the 2010 National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA) held on June 28 in New York City.
