Artists from across the nation travel to Kansas for the 38th Annual William Inge Theater Festival, to celebrate playwright Octavio Solis, one of this country's leading storytellers of the Hispanic-American experience. Solis will be honored as the recipient of the 2019 Distinguished Achievement in American Theater Award.

'The Nance' brings 1930's NYC life to vibrant life at the Spinning Tree Theatre in Kansas City. Perfectly cast with a standout ensemble this bawdy comedy (with some musical treats) is an absolute knockout performance. Directed by Leslie Berra and produced by Jeremy Hargis, Spamalot is the outrageous musical comedy lovingly ripped from the film classic 'Monty Python and The Holy Grail.' Spamalot tells the tale of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table as they embark on their quest for the Holy Grail.

Rock of Ages the theme for Musical Monday, presented by Musical Theater Heritage, played on the stage at the Off Center Theatre on April 14. Kristin Hanggi the Tony Award nominated Broadway director is in Kansas City for the production. Hangii came on stage to talk about the songs and the production of the Broadway musical. She holds a Masterclass for Musical Theater Heritage on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Musical Monday, usually a one-night show, runs for a second night on Tuesday April 15.

This dark comedy, set in a mid-western funeral home, explores love and death in a trilogy of touching and interconnected monologues. We meet three memorable characters Emil, a lovelorn funeral director with hidden depths of heart, Mac, a vivacious woman with a covert agenda and Virginia, whose husband's death leaves her with a new 'view' into the love of her life.
