One Week Until Kansas City Actors Theatre's Regional Premiere of MY OLD LADY

Kansas City Actors Theatre continues its Season Twelve with My Old Lady, written by award-winning author Israel Horovitz's, directed by KCAT Artistic Board Member Darren Sextro, and starring KC stage veterans David Fritts, Kathleen Warfel, and Jan Rogge. The show will be performing from January 11 through January 29 at the H&R Block City Stage in historic Union Station.

BWW Review: WOMEN PLAYING HAMLET Now Showing at the Unicorn Theatre

The Unicorn Theatre production of Women Playing Hamlet currently runs on the Jerome Stage at the theater located at 3828 Main in Kansas City, Mo. William Missouri Downs wrote the Rolling World Premiere directed by Producing Artistic Director Cynthia Levin. Women Playing Hamlet is the second Rolling World Premiere for Downs who has won numerous playwriting awards. In his day all Shakespeare's characters were played by men, in Downs play four women play 19 parts, including male characters.

A world premiere comedy with an all-woman cast, Women Playing Hamlet, opens March 4 on the Jerome Stage at the Unicorn Theatre in Kansas City, Missouri. March 4, 5 and 6 are preview nights with opening night on Saturday March 7. The production is the second Rolling World Premiere for the National New Play Network for Women Playing Hamlet's author William Missouri Downs.

For three decades, more than half a million admirers of A Christmas Carol have been delighted by Kansas City Repertory Theatre's annual production of Charles Dickens' holiday classic. This year, the Rep celebrates its 30th anniversary production of A Christmas Carol by refurbishing its iconic set and introducing exciting new elements to the show, which is directed by 29-year-old Kyle Hatley. A Christmas Carol runs November 19-December 26 at Spencer Theatre on the UMKC campus, and is produced in partnership with UMKC Theatre.
