Intiman Theatre Artistic Director Kate Whoriskey announces a production shift in the previously announced 2011 Season. A Boy and His Soul, written and performed by Tony Award-nominated Colman Domingo and directed by Tony Kelly, will replace The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

Intiman Theatre opens its 2011 Season with All My Sons, written by Arthur Miller and directed by Seattle theatre artist Valerie Curtis-Newton, featuring an ensemble of 10 actors led by veteran performers Chuck Cooper and Margo Moorer. Performances begin Friday, March 18 and continue through Sunday, April 17. Tickets are on sale now to season subscribers and are available to the general public beginning February 7. Purchases can be made at www.intiman.org or 206.269.1900.
In Arthur Miller's Tony Award-winning family drama, the issues that surface are just as compelling today as when the play debuted in 1947. Artistic Director Kate Whoriskey says, 'All My Sons is one of the most beautifully structured plays in the American canon. Miller slowly reveals to the audience how a man of some means and ethics can make a devastating choice that forever alters a community.'

Intiman Theatre announces a one-night-only special event, the 'Valentine's Day Cabaret,' on Monday, February 14th at 7:30 pm. The concert will be hosted by Daniel Breaker (A Doctor In Spite Of Himself and Broadway's Shrek and Passing Strange), and newest addition to Intiman's 2011 season, A Boy and His Soul writer/performer Colman Domingo. Designed as a donor appreciation event, Intiman will also make a limited number of seats available for purchase to the general public.

Seattle's Intiman Theatre is currently going though hard times, as it is now calling for the support of the public in order to solve its financial issues. The theatre, which is currently $1 million in debt, is attemping to raise $500,000 by April, and a second $500,000 by September. As of November the theatre's debt stood at $2.3 million. Since then, over $800,000 has been raised.
