In a beautifully polished performance, Corinne Melancon as Agnes and Steve Isom as Michael (or Kari Ely as Agnes and David Schmittou as Michael on an alternating performance schedule) open Stages St Louis' 2018 season with I Do! I Do! which is a two-character musical version of the Tony-award-winning Best Play, The Fourposter by Jan de Hartog.
Stages St. Louis is one of the great success stories in American theater. Jack Lane and Michael Hamilton started a little group in 1987 and it soon grew into a dynamite company producing season after season of superbly professional musical theater.
Last seen at STAGES in its Inaugural Season, I DO! I DO! tells the poignant story of 50 years in the married lives of Michael and Agnes. This two character musical version of the comedy/drama "The Fourposter" takes place entirely in a bedroom and takes its audience on a whirlwind journey that begins in 1895 and ends half a century later. I DO! I DO! offers its audiences a frank look at the miracle of marriage as Michael and Agnes experience childbirth, parenthood, and the eventual settling down to face the future and their advancing years together.

Octogenarian Lenny was once a busy physician at the epicenter of a vibrant family who now has no recollection whatever of his earlier life. These days his chief adventure is the daily tracking down of the remote control-at least until a friendly social worker named Lola shows up. Try as she might to help Lenny recover his memory, though, he continues to live within the moment, and the poignancy of his plight forces Lola to question the meaning of her own past as well as her future.

STAGES St. Louis hosted its 9th Annual Summer Cabaret, Cheers!, benefiting its Education and Artistic programs on Monday, August 14, 2017 at the Robert G. Reim Theatre in Kirkwood. This year's theme, Showstoppers!, featured incredible hits from the last 31 Seasons at STAGES performed by some of your favorite stars from the organization's 2017 productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Seussical, 9 to 5, and South Pacific, including Broadway artists Corinne Melancon and Nic Thompson, New York performers Brent Michael DiRoma, Jason Michael Evans, Brittany Rose Hammond, and Summerisa Bell Stevens, and St. Louis favorites Leah Berry, Kari Ely, Zoe Vonder Haar, Claire Logan and Steve Isom.
