The Poets' Theatre has announced that it is reorganizing and planning to present a full season of programming in 2014-2015. This historic Cambridge based organization will be led by Robert Scanlan, as President and Artistic Director, Benjamin Evett as the new Producing Artistic Director, and David Gullette as Literary Director. Scanlan, Evett, and Gullette have been charged by the Board of Directors to bring The Poets' Theatre back to prominence after more than a decade of inactivity. They will professionalize the company, create valuable partnerships with other organizations, and develop the resources to allow the theatre to present top quality productions in a regular and sustainable manner.

Israeli Stage Announces Its Fifth Anniversary Season

Israeli Stage, sharing the diversity and vitality of Israeli culture through theatre, proudly announces 2014-2015, its fifth anniversary season, featuring its first full theatrical production: the North American premiere of Ulysses on Bottles by Gilad Evron, winner of Best Israeli Play (2012), presented in partnership with ArtsEmerson: The World On Stage. This new drama features award-winning actors Jeremiah Kissel, Will Lyman, and Karen MacDonald, all who performed in the Israeli Stage staged reading of this play in 2012 at the Goethe-Institut Boston. Performances will take place April 9-25, 2015 in the Jackie Liebergott Black Box at the Emerson/Paramount Center (559 Washington Street) in Boston's theatre district. Israeli Stage and CJP partner to present Savyon Liebrecht's The Banality of Love on BU's campus as a campus-wide initiative to commemorate Yom Ha'Shoa (Holocaust Day). Some 400+ students are expected to attend from the Greater Boston Area. (CJP and Hillels will be providing shuttles for students attending school outside of Boston proper; 300+ BU Students will be in attendance as well as 100+ Students from the surrounding area schools). Stoneham Theatre has a lot to celebrate as they announce their 15th season. Selecting the slate of shows, however, proved to be challenging. 'Choosing an anniversary season is tough,' Producing Artistic Director Weylin Symes shared. 'There is a lot of pressure to get it right. But, in the end, I found I just wanted to choose another season of plays and musicals that represents the kind of work that we love to do: a mix of the familiar and the new, the entertaining and the thought-provoking, and one completely unexpected surprise.'
