On Monday, December 29, the Broadway at Birdland concert stage was the place singer/actor Erich Bergen chose to celebrate his 29th birthday with not one, but two sold-out concerts. Best known for his performance as Bob Gaudio in the Clint Eastwood film 'Jersey Boys,' and the current hit CBS drama 'Madam Secretary,' Erich brought his dry wit, smooth vocals, ten piece band, three background singers and two-toned shoes to the Birdland stage, featuring songs from his stage and screen career, and material from his two EP releases. On April 5th, ten of Broadway's most distinctive vocalists will celebrate four-time Grammy award winner Sam Smith at 54 Below in a concert of his signature songs of heartbreak, loss, and hope in Broadway Loves Sam Smith.

Well after Broadway orchestra's begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven- o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. A wide array of the finest musical theatre talent will join acclaimed composer-lyricist Daniel Mate for three goodbye concerts at Don't Tell Mama this week, as he bids New York a fond farewell before relocating to the West Coast after ten years in NYC. Each concert will feature a diverse and unique set of Mate originals and cover tunes along with a different group of special musical guests. Max Friedman produces.

The New York Civil Liberties Union, the New York State affiliate of the ACLU, just welcomed an array of award-winning performers for Broadway Stands Up for Freedom, its annual benefit concert, which was held last night, July 21, at the NYU Skirball Center for Performing Arts (566 LaGuardia Place, NYC). Special guests included: Adam Chanler-Berat, Justin Guarini, Zach Unger, Barrett Foa, Lena Hall, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Condola Rashad, Robin de Jesus, Seth Rudetsky, Telly Leung and more! Barnes & Noble just celebrated the new Ghostlight Records cast recording of The Bridges of Madison County, the new romantic musical which recently closed at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street), with a special in-store performance and CD signing.The event featured stars Kelli O'Hara and Steven Pasquale, in addition to other cast members. The composer/lyricist Jason Robert Brown joined them at the piano, with Justin Goldner and Gary Sieger on guitars and Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf on cello.
