Last night DoSomething.org celebrated young do-gooders, celebrities and organizations that have made a commitment to social change with the star-studded 'Do Something Awards' LIVE on VH1. Hosted by comedic genius and 'Glee' star Jane Lynch, the show featured musical performances by Natasha Bedingfield, Lifehouse, and Travie McCoy with special guest Bruno Mars and an all-star red carpet before the award show at The Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. The night concluded with revealing Jessica Posner as the grand prize winner of the $100,000.

COMEDY CENTRAL has partnered with 'Weird Al' Yankovic for the World Premiere of 'Weird Al' Yankovic Live! - The Alpocalypse Tour,' the Grammy Award-winning artist's first special since 1999, as well as the release of an extended, feature-length cut of the concert film on DVD and Blu-Ray via Paramount Home Entertainment and across DTO platforms, it was announced today by David Bernath, executive vice president, program strategy and multiplatform programming, COMEDY CENTRAL.

The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards will air live on August at 9 PM. This year Adele, Katy Perry and Kanye West lead the pack. Katy Perry has 9 nominations while Adele and Kanye West each have 7. Following the three front runners Bruno Mars has 4, Eminem, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, 30 Seconds to Mars and Nicki Minaj all have 3 and Foster the People, Manchester Orchestra, Tyler, the Creator, Britney Spears, the Beastie Boys, Chris Brown, Pitbull and Lil Wayne all have 2 nominations. Virginia's Signature Theatre opens its doors for their annual Target Open House on Saturday, July 23rd. Free and open to the public, this special event runs from noon - 10:00pm and has something for everyone: performances, demonstrations, exhibits, kids' activities, classes, a 'concert on the plaza,' and the return of the very popular Signature Idol Competition, sponsored by Northern Virginia magazine, and mediated by a celebrity panel of judges which includes Broadway star Hunter Foster (Urinetown), national radio host Robert Aubry Davis and Signature's Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer. The Target Open House is held throughout the Signature complex and on the Plaza.
