According to The Washington Post, Molly Smith, artistic director of Arena Stage has signed on to direct a production of Eric Coble's THE VELOCITY OF AUTUMN on Broadway in the Spring of 2013, a production that'll mark Broadway debuts for both. Lead producer Larry Kaye has said that signed on to star will be Estelle Parsons and Stephen Spinella.

For the first time in its 11 year history, Manhattan Theatre Source - called 'one of the top Off-Off Broadway theatres in New York' by New York Magazine - presents an open-end run of a work developed through the company's development process - the musical revue THE GREENWICH VILLAGE FOLLIES, which opened officially on June 28th, 2011.

'Only the great deserve the darts of satire,' proclaimed an advertisement for the New York leg of the Bolshoi Ballet Company's 1936 American tour, a classy reply to the spoofing they were receiving from George Balanchine's dance piece La Princesse Zenobia, a highlight of George Abbott and Rodgers and Hart's Broadway hit On Your Toes.

A new musical comedy revue, 'DON'T LEAVE IT ALL TO YOUR CHILDREN!', written and directed by SAUL ILSON and starring BARBARA MINKUS ('Picon Pie'), MARCIA RODD ('The Last of the Red Hot Lovers'), STEVE ROSSI (of Allen & Rossi) and RONNIE SCHELL (Gomer Pyle), will make its New York debut on Wednesday, May 6th at off-Broadway's Actors Temple Theatre, 339 West 47th Street, NYC. Musical numbers will be staged by Rudy Tronto.
