Disney's THE LION KING continues to reign across North America with a sold-out, record-breaking engagement in Wichita, which concluded on Sunday, September 30 at the Century II Concert Hall. The premiere four-week engagement grossed over $4.3 million at the box office and entertained more than 60,000 patrons, making it the highest-grossing theatrical production in Wichita history.

SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark on Broadway has announced that its digital app has soared past 500,000 downloads and is now the most active daily app on Mobile Roadie.

This summer, David Parsons was awarded a Master of Fine Arts from Jacksonville University. Mr. Parsons was the first recipient of the Howard Gilman Fellowship to attend the MFA program at the university. This full tuition fellowship is given to one MFA candidate each year. On October 15th at 9:30pm CAROL WOODS moonlights from the Broadway musical Chicago to appear in concert in Broadway to Blues at 54 Below, 254 West 54th Street. Directed by Leslie Dockery, Broadway to Blues features Shelton Becton on piano and as musical director.

Pioneer Theatre Company opens their 2012-2013 season on Friday with the Regional Premiere of the Tony Award-winning musical In the Heights. The production runs from September 14 through September 29, 2012, at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre in Salt Lake City Utah.

The first-ever UK tour of Disney's landmark musical THE LION KING received its official premiere at the Bristol Hippodrome on Thursday 6th September. Director and designer Julie Taymor and other members of the show's creative team were in attendance, including the President of Disney Theatrical Group and Producer of THE LION KING, Thomas Schumacher.
