CENTERSTAGE announces its electrifying, one-of-a-kind artistic initiative, My America-50 new monologues by 50 of America's leading and emerging playwrights, all filmed by award-winning filmmaker Hal Hartley. The films will debut at the theater on September 28, and begin a staggered release online at www.centerstage.org/MyAmerica, culminating on Election Day, November 6.

"Our 34th season will be another ambitious one for the Coterie. The Coterie's Lab for New Family Musicals will host an awesome holiday production and work with the composing/writing team behind Shrek the Musical to create the premiere Theatre for Young Audiences version," said Jeff Church, producing artistic director. "There will be several wonderful productions based on books: Christopher Paul Curtis' Bud Not Buddy, Lois Lowry's Number the Stars and a piece based on Scholastic's Dear America Series.

Today, May 4, Plan-B Theatre Company announced its 2010-11 Season. Productions scheduled include SHE WAS MY BROTHER, as well as the World Premieres of MESA VERDE, BORDERLANDS, and AND THE BANNED SLAMMED ON. The 2010-11 season marks the 20th anniversary of the first Plan-B production in 1991. 12 of the past 15 Plan-B productions have enjoyed sold-out runs. In association with The Growing Stage in Netcong, NJ, Playwrights Theatre is pleased to present ACROSS THE WIDE AND LONESOME PRAIRIE by Julie Jensen. The production (appropriate for ages 8 and up) will preview on November 4 and run for three weeks through November 21, 2010 (Press Opening: Friday, November 5 at 8:00pm). The production will be directed by John Pietrowski and features Jane Keitel and Lori Lawrence. Single tickets are on sale now $25 for adults, $22.50 for seniors, $20 for book clubs and groups of 10 or more, and $15 for students.
