The Annual New York Burlesque Festival is the largest and most acclaimed festival of its kind in the world, and has attracted sold-out crowds since it's premiere in 2003. This fall marks the 14th year for this celebrated event, and producers, Thirsty Girl & Pontani Productions will once again, serve up 4 nights of glitter and glamour in Gotham, with over 120 eye-popping performances from international leading burlesque and variety entertainers at five of NYC's hottest nightclubs. Bringing together over 2,700 enthusiastic audience members who, in addition to enjoying tassels and tail feathers will be entertained by live music, international DJ's, variety and circus performers, boylesque, and a burlesque bazaar where you can try on custom corsets, peruse pasties, hair ornaments, vintage dresses, lingerie and even partake in a pin-up make-over.
Cathy Weis Projects has announced the lineup for the fall 2016 season of Sundays on Broadway, an ongoing series featuring performances, film screenings, discussions, and all manner of happenings on Sunday evenings at WeisAcres. The fall season runs from October 2 to December 4, 2016. All events begin at 6pm and are free and open to the public. WeisAcres is located at 537 Broadway, #3, between Prince and Spring Streets.

The American Repertory Theater expands its 2015/16 Season programming with the OBERON Presents series, featuring a range of artists, companies, and programs. Coney Island USA's 33rd Annual Mermaid Parade will begin at 1pm on Saturday, June 20, 2015. The parade starts at the corner of West 21st Street and Surf Avenue, and proceeds east on Surf Avenue to West 10th Street, where it turns south to the Boardwalk, and then north back to Steeplechase Plaza, where it concludes.
The Exchange today announced the artists and companies who will participate in its 2015 Orchard Project summer residency program. Twenty-two artists and ensembles (listed below) were selected from a competitive field of nearly 500 applicants to develop their big, new ideas at the Orchard Project. This will be the eighth summer - and the first summer in Saratoga Springs, NY - for the Orchard Project, a laboratory program where theatre artists and companies come to innovate, develop, and refine new shows. Past productions developed at the Orchard Project have gone on to be performed around the globe for over 500,000 people and to win awards from TONYs to Obies to Oliviers.
