Known for fostering playwrights at all stages of their careers, The Ground Floor: Berkeley Rep's Center for the Creation and Development of New Work today announces that it will begin hosting bi-annual salons in the fall and spring to share information with local playwrights about the new play development process at Berkeley Rep.

Victory Gardens Theater announces the lineup for its newly-expanded IGNITION Festival of New Plays for the 2015 Festival, including Confessions of a P.I.M.P. by Andre De Shields; Queen by Madhuri Shekar; Slay & Eat  by A. The festival takes place July 16-19, 2015. The IGNITION festival creates a productive environment for both emerging and established playwrights to explore and develop their new work. 

The Twentieth-Century Way, Tom Jacobson's acclaimed two- person play about homosexual entrapment in Los Angeles at the turn of the 20th century, premieres off-Broadway this spring. Directed by The Theatre @ Boston Court's Michael Michetti, and starring Will Bradley and Robert Mammana, the play begins previews tonight, May 28, 2015, with opening night set for June 3, 2015 at Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre (224 Waverly Place, NYC). The limited engagement will run through July 19, 2015.

Theatre Smash and fu-GEN Theatre Company present the world premiere of Julia Cho's DURANGO - a complex and character-driven piece that tells the story of a Korean-American family who's lives change after a family road trip to Durango, Colarado.

The Flea Theater has announced the New York premiere of The Theatre @ Boston Court's production of HAPPY DAYS by Samuel Beckett, directed by Andrei Belgrader. After critically acclaimed runs in Boston and LA, The Flea welcomes theater veterans Brooke Adams and Tony Award nominee Tony Shalhoub to Tribeca.  Previews begin June 20 with opening night slated for June 29.
