En 1949 "Un dia en Nueva York" irrumpe en Hollywood con una nueva manera de realizar el cine musical. Los directores Stanley Donen y Gene Kelly utilizaron lugares abiertos para rodar la pelicula y es que hasta ese momento todos los musicales se habian llevado a cabo en los estudios.

Warner Home Video announces that five classic MGM musicals have been re-mastered for an April 25 release, marking their debut to DVD. The box set 'Classic Musicals From The Dream Factory' will contain 'It's Always Fair Weather,' 'Summer Stock,' 'Three Little Words,' 'Till The Clouds Roll By,' and 'Ziegfeld Follies.' In addition, the titles will also be sold individually.

Casting has been announced for the Musicals Tonight! concert production of Schwartz and Dietz' The High Life, which will run from October 18th through October 30th

English National Opera's (ENO) new production of Leonard Bernstein's ON THE TOWN begins March 5, 2005 at the London Coliseum (Press Night March 10, 2005). There will be 17 performances playing in repertory until May 24, 2005.
