Broadway singer and actress D'Vorah Bailey returns with her solo cabaret show, Wishful Thinking, at The Metropolitan Room on Saturday, April 29 at 7:00 pm.

But what do you do when a piece of art from 20 years ago, based on a piece of art from 40 years ago, about events which took place 100 years ago, reflects the times of today? The newest production of RAGTIME opens this week at the historic Ford's Theatre in Washington D.C., and is directed by Peter Flynn.

It 'Don't Take Too Much' to be excited that Tony Award winner Chuck Cooper swings by Shetler Studios to talk to Rob and Kevin about his forty plus year career onstage in shows like THE LIFE, PASSION, and CAROLINE, OR CHANGE. The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Interim Executive Director; David McCoy, Chairman of the Board), dedicated to the development of new musicals and the preservation of musical gems from the past, as part of its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series, will present the staged readings of two new musicals:  Dutch Master, with music and lyrics by Jeffrey Stock (Triumph of Love), and book by Marc Acito (Allegiance), and The White Witch of Rosehall, with music by Balint Varga (Houdini the Musical), and book and lyrics by Bryan D. Leys (Hell's Belles) at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (619 Lexington Avenue, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). 

Up there, high, high in the lovely apartment in midtown Manhattan, lives the mysterious Paul Kandel. Who is this creature? What is he? How did he come to be there? Hush! Rob and Kevin will tell you as they sit down with the wonderful Mr. Kandel, best known for his role as Uncle Ernie in THE WHO'S TOMMY and as the voice of Clopin in Disney's THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME.

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.), gala chair Priscilla B. Geeslin and Honorary Chairs Beth Behrs, Colman Domingo, Douglas Sills, and Denzel Washington have announced A.C.T.'s 50th Anniversary Gala, taking place on Thursday, April 27 at A.C.T.'s Strand Theater (1127 Market St.), The Costume Shop (1119 Market St.), as well as in a specially built supper club-style tented dining room between the two venues.

Because he had a whole lot of livin' to do, Rob and Kevin's time with Tony Award winning lyricist Lee Adams was short but it did make them feel happy and rosy (or Rosie). The 93 year old Adams joined Rob and Kevin on the phone from his home in Briarcliff, NY.

Lee, new version by David Thompson (based on an adaptation by Maurice Valency of the play The Madwoman of Chaillot by Jean Giraudoux), music and lyrics by Jerry Herman, starring 6-time Emmy® Award and Tony® Award-winner Tyne Daly (Gypsy) as Countess Aurelia.

It's simple: if you don't know Meryl Streep, or think she's overrated, you've been living under a rock for the past 30 years or so. She's dominated THE ACADEMY AWARDS since the early 1980s, earning a whopping 20 Oscar nominations for roles as varied as the colors of the rainbow. She's only won three of those coveted golden statues thus far (slacker), but fans are hoping that come February 26, she'll take home number four.
