The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center presents the world premiere of the new musical Wonderland: Alice's New Musical Adventure in Ferguson Hall as part of the 2009-2010 Bank of America Best of Broadway Tampa Bay series. Performances are scheduled Nov. 24, 2009 through Jan. 3, 2010.

BWW is excited to give you a sneak preview of a new song from the production, 'Once More I Can See.' Lyricist Jack Murphy and composer Frank Wildhorn combined on this empowering ballad, sung by Janet Dacal, who plays 'Alice' in this production.

The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center will present the World Premiere of Wonderland: Alice's New Musical Adventure. The production will debut in Tampa on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009 in TBPAC's Ferguson Hall, the music for Wonderland is by Frank Wildhorn, the composer of The Civil War and Jekyll & Hyde, with book and lyrics by Jack Murphy. 185 apprentices from 28 states, as well as Canada and American Samoa, will be performing in the Broadway Theatre Project Festival from July 30-August 1. The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center today announces several additions to the creative team for Wonderland: Alice's New Musical Adventure. According to producer Judith Lisi, president and CEO of TBPAC, Marguerite Derricks will choreograph the production and Ron Melrose will serve as music supervisor and provide vocal and dance arrangements as well as incidental music. Susan Hilferty, Neil Patel and Paul Gallo will design the costumes, sets and lights respectively, while Jon Weston will design the sound and Sven Ortel will design video and projections.

Tampabay.com reports the news that IN THE HEIGHTS star Janet Dacal will play the leading role of Alice in the upcoming Wonderland, the Frank Wildhorn musical which is inspired by Alice in Wonderland and is slated to premiere at Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center in December. Other casting for the musical includes Karen Mason, Nikki Snelson and Eugene Fleming.

As the first initiative of the Broadway Genesis Project at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, TBPAC will produce a new Frank Wildhorn musical, to debut in Tampa late this year. The new show, WONDERLAND: Alice's New Musical Adventure will begin performances on November 24, 2009 at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center.
