The New York Russian Jewish Youth Council (NYRJYC) kicks off the fall season on Thursday, September 2nd at 7PM with Eclectic Beat Box. The event will be at Soiree (199 Bowery St.) and features live musical performances, hip Israeli landscapes and some of the best bands the city has to offer. Tickets are $10; all proceeds from the event will go to benefit Sunrise Lake Camp, a residential summer camp in Cold Spring, New York that provides programming to children afflicted with cancer.

David Broza is set to perform LIVE at (Le) Poisson Rouge (158 Bleecker Street) on Monday, June 14 in support of his recent release Night Dawn: The Unpublished Poetry of Townes Van Zandt. The 12-song set was produced by David Broza and G.E. Smith (Hall & Oates, Saturday Night Live) and features 10 previously unreleased lyrics and poems written by the late Townes Van Zandt-one cover of the last song Van Zandt wrote and one instrumental Broza wrote for Van Zandt.

James A. Stephens is set to star as Scrooge in the McCarter Theatre's production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL from December 6th through 27th. The production will be directed by Michael Unger and Rob Ashford will choreograph the holiday classic.
The brand new Theatre C theatre company launched its premiere season at the Barrow Street Theatre on November 2nd with ACTIVATE!, a benefit gala for the opening of the company. The evening featured acrobats from Fuerzabruta, musical numbers from Jafferis and Williams' Kingdom and Peña and Ferguson's Orpheus and Eurydice, and scenes from David Zellnik's Serendib.

ReVision Theatre will present the East Coast Premiere of the new Latin Hip Hop rock musical Kingdom, to play the VFW Theatre, 701 Lake Avenue, in Asbury Park, New Jersey, April 16-May 3.
