At a public unveiling ceremony on October 22 at 1:00pm, the 400 block of West 121st street between Morningside Drive and Amsterdam Avenue will officially be co-named 'George Carlin Way,' after the celebrated comedian, actor and author, George Carlin, who grew up on West 121 Street. Confirmed attendees include Colin Quinn and Keith Olbermann, along with Carlin's daughter Kelly, older brother Patrick, comedian Kevin Bartini, who headed the efforts in the co-naming of street.

This fall's line-up features many of the best-known names in comedy, including UP favorites Kyle Kinane and Greg Proops, returning to the UP stage once again after countless sold-out shows. Also returning to UP are Nick Thune, Moshe Kasher and Dana Gould. Appearing at UP for the first time are Bridget Everett and Dave Hill, Judah Friedlander, Jeff Ross, Yannis Pappas, Jerrod Carmichael and Todd Glass. Forget superheroes, forget superstars, last summer's biggest hit was Syfy's 'Sharknado,' and this summer they are doubling down on the cult hit with 'Sharknado 2: The Second One.' This time, New York City is besieged by the illogical natural disaster. 'Sharknado 2' airs tonight at 9:00 pm on Syfy. Producer John Johnson has announced today that Grantland's Men in Blazers will host Men in Blazers: Live on Broadway, an evening to celebrate everything that is glorious and distinct about United States Soccer on Friday, May 30th at 7:30PM at The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street).
