Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's EVITA returns to London's West End for a strictly limited season. Opening on Tuesday 16 September at the recently refurbished Dominion Theatre, the musical considered by many to be Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's masterwork will play for 55 performances only in the West End, with musical theatre and pop icon Marti Pellow playing Che, Ben Forster playing Augustin Magaldi, and newcomer Madalena Alberto in the title role. Oyster Mill Playhouse in Camp Hill is pleased to present its second musical of the 2014, Evita; with lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber. It is produced by special arrangement with Rodgers and Hammerstein.

In his previous appearance at the Alhambra as the lead in South Pacific, Christopher Sanders received a standing ovation each night. Tonight, September 10, the dashing singer returns to the Alhambra as Don Quixote in the play inspired by Miguel de Cervantes' seventeenth century masterpiece by the same name. Presented by Brumo's Automotive, Man of LaMancha opens tonight, September 10 and runs through October 12.

The Daily Mail reports that the UK tour of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's EVITA, starring Marti Pellow and Madalena Alberto, will stop by the Dominion Theatre in the West End, beginning September 16 with an opening slated for September 22, 2014.

Broadway headliner and EVITA tour lead Josh Young joined with his EVITA leading lady, Caroline Bowman, to perform the ingratiating and tender ballad 'High Flying Adored' from the Andrew Lloyd Webber/Tim Rice score earlier this week and a full video of the sensational performance has now been released.

Last week, while the U.S. National Tour of the Broadway Revival of EVITA was in San Antonio, I got the chance to chat with Sean MacLaughlin, who is playing Colonel Juan Peron, about the show and his career. Houston audiences will recognize him from last season's production of CAMELOT, produced by Theatre Under the Stars, where he played Lancelot.

A new production of Evita just completed a run at Hennepin Theatre Trust's Orpheum in Minneapolis. High flying, adored: Che. Requiem for the Eva we know and loved: changes in the show both enhanced and detracted from the love of Eva Peron.

Caroline Bowman is a brunette. Now, I'm not saying she isn't special, it's just that she doesn't have any super distinguishing features---big ears, a weird jaw, a lazy eye, a disproportionate body---she looks like a normal person and that's not a bad thing. But, what separates Bowman from the hordes of brunettes in a room, is that she truly is a triple-threat.
