On the heels of their successful production Brothers from the Bottom starring Wendell Pierce, a play about gentrification, The Billie Holiday Theatre (BHT) is pleased to announce the world premiere of Dancing on Eggshells by award-winning playwright Cynthia G. Robinson and directed by the Billie Holiday Theatre's own Cezar Williams.

Amas Musical Theatre's Donna Trinkoff (Artistic Producer) Rosetta LeNoire Musical Theatre Academy will present FAME: The Musical, based on the 1980 musical film conceived and developed by David De Silva, with a book by Jose Fernandez, lyrics by Jacques Levy, and music by Steve Margoshes (Title song 'Fame' by Dean Pitchford & Michael Gore). Directed by Christopher Scott and David Drake (Associate Director), choreography by Monica Johnson and musical direction by Trevor Bachman, the production will feature 29 members of 'The Teen Academy.' Thanks to a special partnership with the Brooklyn Music School Playhouse, BHT will kick off a two-year residency with a high profile run of the play Brothers from the Bottom, starring actor and TONY Award-winning producer Wendell Pierce (SELMA, Treme, The Wire). The play, written and directed by BHT artistic director Jackie Alexander, will run tonight, March 6th - 29th at the Brooklyn Music School Playhouse, 126 Saint Felix Street between Hanson and Lafayette, in the heart of the BAM Cultural District.

Burning Coal Theatre Company of Raleigh, NC will present the world premiere of Terry Milner's The Jesus Fund January 30 through February 16, 2014.
