SOUTHERN COMFORT begins previews on Tuesday, February 23 and will run through Sunday, March 27 in The Public's Anspacher Theater, with an official press opening on Monday, March 7. Sarah Megan Thomas, the star of the films Backwards with James Van Der Beek, and Equity with James Purefoy, will appear with Bill Connington, who stars in the recently released film Zombie, based on the novella by Joyce Carol Oates--in a staged reading of Private Lives by theatrical legend Noel Coward. The Chicago Public Library Foundation and the Chicago Public Library have announced that the 16th annual Carl Sandburg Literary Award will be presented to legendary composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim.
