Last night, May 4, the Board of Directors of the Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs presented the 2010 MAC Awards at B.B. King Blues Club and Grill in Times Square. The awards ceremony and show, produced by Julie Miller and directed by Lennie Watts, was hosted by Sharon McNight. Tracy Stark musical directed. BroadwayWorld celebrated backstage with the evening's winners and participants.

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs has announced the nominees for the 2010 24th Annual MAC Awards. The ceremony honoring the nominees, will take place on May 4, 2010 at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill, and will be hosted by Sharon McNight. Leslie Uggams will be honored for Lifetime Achievement, with Board of Directors Awards being presented to Peter Leavy and playbill.com. The event will begin at 7:30pm. Doors open at 6:00pm. Lennie Watts will direct the evening, with Tracy Stark musical directing.

Like a GLEE kid gone wild, Joshua Warr tears into the seven deadly sins in his MAC Award-nominated debut cabaret show, SING NO EVIL, which returns to the Laurie Beechman Theatre for one night only, April 8th. 'Some of the greatest songs ever written are about sin, in one way or another,' suggests the Potsdam, NY, native with a grin. 'As humans, we're attracted to sin, because there's a certain thrill to it.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre will present 'Jimmy Gleason: Actor Under Fire' beginning on Monday, April 5th. The show will be presented on concurrent Mondays, following again on April 12th.

A New York revival of Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens will be presented by Sweet &Tart Productions in association with Summoners Ensemble Theatre at the Laurie Beechman Theater on October 10, 11, 17, and 19. In keeping with the company's mission of giving back to the community, 25 percent of all proceeds will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
