To celebrate the orchestra's 35 years in Orange County, the Gala committee has designed a soiree reminiscent of the first boardwalks, Ferris wheels, bath houses and dance floors that lined California's beautiful coast. Taking place for the first time at the ocean-side Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa on Saturday, May 31, at 5:30 p.m., guests enjoy the shimmering views and fresh salt air as they stroll along "The Walk of a Thousand Lights" and test their skills in a host of carnival games and fun houses along the boardwalk. Renowned violinist Joshua Bell will join Music Director Robert Spano and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) to perform the Brahms Violin Concerto May 29 and 30, 2014, at 8:00 p.m., and May 31, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center. Mr. Bell's most recent performance with the ASO took place in fall 2011.

One of the city's most venerable cultural institutions, the San Antonio Symphony, will celebrate its 75th anniversary with a classical concert and post-concert celebration on Saturday, June 14. The concert will feature international violin sensation Joshua Bell at the Majestic Theatre, beginning at 8 p.m. From the stunningly powerful violin concerto of Sibelius to the sultry sounds of Bolero, showcasing the entire orchestra, Bell joins San Antonio Symphony Music Director Sebastian Lang-Lessing and the San Antonio Symphony in a program that will include musical selections performed during the June 1939 inaugural concert to include works from Wagner and Strauss.

Lincoln Center Announces MOSTLY MOZART FESTIVAL 2014, 7/25-8/23

Jane Moss, Ehrenkranz Artistic Director, today announced the 48th season of Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival, New York's acclaimed annual summer celebration of classical music, which runs from July 25-August 23, 2014. This year's Festival will feature more than 35 events across several venues including concerts, opera, dance, pre-concert recitals and lectures, late-night performances, contemporary music, and premieres of two commissioned works. The Festival kicks off with two free events: the world premiere of a new work by John Luther Adams, performed July 25 and 26 for free on Hearst Plaza, in a joint presentation with Lincoln Center Out of Doors, and continuing an annual tradition, the free preview concert by the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra at Avery Fisher Hall on July 26. Renee and Robert Belfer Music Director Louis Langree returns for his 12th season to conduct the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra, which will perform a wide range of works anchored by the Festival's featured namesake. Mostly Mozart will also present world-renowned artists and returning Festival favorites, such as violinist Joshua Bell, Mark Morris Dance Group, Emerson String Quartet and Artists-in-Residence International Contemporary Ensemble, as well as 14 Festival debuts, including pianists Yuja Wang and Steven Osborne, and violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja.

Celebrating its 35th anniversary, the Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival will present a concert open to the public for the first time in New York on Tuesday evening, April 8, 2014 at 7:45 p.m. at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music, Cary Hall, 450 West 37th Street, between Ninth and Tenth Avenues. A special orchestra-the Cape Cod Gala Orchestra, conducted by Liam Burke-has been assembled for this occasion. Noted WQXR radio announcer Jeff Spurgeon will host the evening and Nancy B.
