This year's Los Angeles Philharmonic classical season at the Hollywood Bowl opens with famed violinist and Bowl favorite Joshua Bell performing with close friends and special guests Glenn Close, Frankie Moreno, Philippe Quint and Time for Three in a concert led by another Bowl favorite, Bramwell Tovey, Tuesday, July 8, at 8 pm.

Grammy Award-winning violinist, Joshua Bell, Glee and Broadway star sensation, Darren Criss, award-winning Broadway artist Lea Salonga, Hollywood actor Lou Diamond Phillips, tenor Rodell Rosel, Christine Rocas of Joffrey Ballet, singer Apl.de.ap of Black Eyed Peas and a host of other celebrities will come together in the nation's capital for a benefit concert for victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

Tony Award-winners Chita Rivera and Karen Ziemba, Norman Norman Jewison, Academy Award-winning director of the 1971 film version of Fiddler on the Roof (Irving Thalberg Award Recipient), and Ambassador Ido Aharoni, Counsul General of Israel, were just some of the stars who took part in Raising the Roof, an all-star benefit concert celebrating the 100th anniversary of The National Yiddish Theatre - Folksbiene, the 50th Anniversary of iconic American musical, Fiddler on the Roof, and the 90th birthday of its Pulitzer Prize- and Tony-winning lyricist, Sheldon Harnick, last night, June 9 at New York's The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street). The National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA)-a dynamic new orchestra created in 2013 by Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute featuring some of the best young musicians from across the country-caps its eight-concert, coast-to-coast U.S. tour with a concert at The Music Center's Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles on Monday, August 4 at 7:30 p.m.

Renowned violinist Joshua Bell will join Music Director Robert Spano and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) to perform the Brahms Violin Concerto tonight, May 29, May 30, 2014, at 8:00 p.m., and May 31, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center. Mr. Bell's most recent performance with the ASO took place in fall 2011.

Tonight, May 27 at 7:00pm, the Russian American Foundation (RAF) will present 'Philippe Quint & Friends,' a benefit concert hosted by the renowned Russian-American violinist at the New York Times Building's Times Center (242 West 41st Street). The evening will feature performances by special guests such as Joshua Bell, John Corigliano, Josh Ralph, Emily Bergl, Michael Bacon, William Wolfram, the Matt Herskowitz Trio, and Quint's own Argentine tango group, the Quint Quintet, featuring featuring JP Jofre, Octavio Brunetti, Oren Fader, and Pedro Giraudo. This concert will mark the opening of the 12th Annual Russian Heritage Month® and all proceeds from the evening will benefit the Russian American Foundation's Jewish Heritage Education Program (a 501(c)3 organization).

On Site Opera, which creates immersive, site-specific opera productions, has partnered with Figaro Systems, developer of groundbreaking libretto simultexting technology, to preview a future in which opera is further freed from the opera house. OnThursday, June 19 at Lifestyle-Trimco Showroom in Manhattan, the companies will give a special performance of On Site's new production of Rameau's one-act Pygmalion for users of Google Glass. The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra (NJSO) and New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) present Bell & Lacombe, a one-performance-only program tonight, May 9, at 8 pm in NJPAC's Prudential Hall. Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO)'s 45th season concludes with a veritable piano 'festival' as Jeremy Denk, 'a pianist you want to hear no matter what he performs' (The New York Times), returns for a command performance on Saturday, May 17, 2014, 8 pm, at Glendale's Alex Theatre, and Sunday, May 18, 2014, 7 pm, at UCLA's Royce Hall. Denk, artistic director of the 2014 Ojai Music Festival, is featured on selections from Ligeti's Etudes for Piano, Book I & II, as well as Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1 in C major. From the keyboard, LACO Music Director Jeffrey Kahane, an acclaimed pianist, conducts Bach's Concerto No. 2 in C major for Two Keyboards, and Mozart's Concerto No. 10 in E-flat major for Two Pianos. He is joined by 12-year-old prodigy Ray Ushikubo for the Bach and LA Phil Keyboardist Joanne Pearce Martin for the Mozart.
