THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, will launch a new company originating in Chicago beginning in December 2012. The show is scheduled for a 12-week engagement at the Bank of America Theatre.

Denver Center Attractions launches the much-anticipated national tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, at The Ellie Caulkins Opera House August 14 - September 2, 2012. Originally slated to run in December of 2012 at The Buell Theatre, the show comes months earlier to the delight of audiences.

What a weekend for the Broadway community: Every single Broadway & Off-Broadway show was canceled, due to the impending arrival of Hurricane Irene. According to EW.com, Tony Awrd nominee Josh Gad will make an appearance on the third season of ABC's 'Modern Family.' Gad will play 'Kenny, a neighbor of the Dunphys who worships the ground that Phil (Ty Burell) walks stumbles on - and he's made all decisions in his life based on what Phil would do.'

HAIR: Then and Now will play on Thirteen Friday, August 19th at 1:00 AM. A celebration of Hair, the 'tribal love-rock musical' now a Tony Award-winning revival back on Broadway for the summer. Our guests include the show's composer Galt MacDermot and co-lyricist/librettist James Rado, who wrote the show's enduring rock score (with the late Gerome Ragni). Also on the program, actor Gavin Creel, who was nominated for a Tony for his portrayal of Claude, the role originally created in the Sixties by Rado. Creel, Rado and MacDermot perform the first act finale song 'Where Do I Go?' with MacDermot's son, Vince, on the bongos.

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has broken the house record of the Eugene O'Neill Theatre for the 15th time. The show earned $1,289,947.50 in the 1,068-seat O'Neill for the week ending Sunday, August 14, 2011.

THE BOOK OF MORMON, which follows a pair of mismatched Mormon boys sent on a mission to a place that's about as far from Salt Lake City as you can get, features Josh Gad as Elder Cunningham, Andrew Rannells as Elder Price, Nikki M. MTV will add animation to its programming lineup with the premiere the new animated series 'Good Vibes.' This half-hour coming-of-age comedy will follow transplanted Jersey boy Mondo (voiced by Josh Gad) and his best bud Woodie (voiced by Adam Brody) as they surf the biggest waves, hit the wildest parties and chase the prettiest girls in Play Del Toro - a colorful California beach community. The all-star ensemble cast also features voice appearances by Debi Mazar as 'Babs' Mondo's mom, Alan Tudyk as 'Lonnie' a burnt-out but wise beach bum, Danny McBride as 'Ms. Teets' a massively overweight and inappropriate human sexuality teacher, Olivia Thirlby as 'Jeena' the beautiful girl of Mondo's dreams, Jake Busey as 'Turk' an obnoxious local surfer and bully, and Tony Hale as 'Wadska' a charmingly nerdy and delusional friend. The animated comedy is set to premiere in Fall 2011.

According to Deadline.com, Tony nominee Josh Gad has just signed with Brillstein Entertainment Partners. for management. In addition to starring in THE BOOK OF MORMON on Broadway, Gad is a correspondent on The Daily Show and is creating a comedy for NBC.

'South Park' fans attending this week's Comic-Con at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, CA will have three chances to win a free pair of tickets to see THE BOOK OF MORMON. The Broadway company of 'The Book of Mormon' has announced that they will add an additional performance to their schedule in order to perform a benefit 'Special Performance' on Sunday, August 28 at 8 pm. All proceeds will go to The Actors Fund.

The new Disney animated feature WINNIE THE POOH was just released in theaters nationwide last week, and composer for the film and BOOK OF MORMON creator Robert Lopez recently chatted with Time Magazine about both projects. When asked about the difficulty of switching from writing for MORMON to POOH, Lopez responded: 'Pretty easy. I'm the type of guy who likes to kind of pad about and look for things to eat. I actually play the part of Pooh's tummy. I'm the uvular trill that's his tummy growl.'
