Tony Winner Patti LuPone Coming to The Wallis in February 2015

Wallis Center for the Performing Arts (aka "The Wallis") announces Patti LuPone Coulda Woulda Shoulda … played that part for a single performance on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 8:00 pm in the Bram Goldsmith Theater. Coulda Woulda Shoulda is conceived and directed by Scott Wittman with musical arrangements by Dick Gallagher; the musical director is Joseph Thalken.

York Theatre Company's 45th Anniversary Season to Feature Lillias White in TEXAS IN PARIS, NY Premiere of HAROLD AND MAUDE & More

The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and preserving musical gems from the past, celebrates major milestones with the announcement of its upcoming 2014-2015 season. The 45th Anniversary season will see the Off-Broadway premieres of two Main Stage productions: Texas in Paris starring Tony Award-winner Lillias White, and the highly anticipated Harold and Maude, an intimate musical. The acclaimed Musicals in Mufti series will present its 100th production, expanding to a two-week performance schedule for the musicals Big, A Time for Singing and Saturday Night; My Favorite Year will then play a one-week schedule. Special events include the 23rd Oscar Hammerstein Award Gala honoring Broadway's Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, and York's ongoing schedule of developmental readings, labs and more at The York Theatre Company's home at Saint Peter's (Citicorp Building, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue.)

MOLLY SWEENEY, Songwriter Showcase & More Set for The Human Race Theatre Company's Festival of New Musicals

The Human Race Theatre Company's mission to further the development of new works takes center stage with its summer Festival of New Musicals. For the seventh annual event, Producing Artistic Director Kevin Moore has selected Molly Sweeney: A Musical, an adaptation of Brian Friel's 1994 play by the same name, and created The Songwriter Showcase, a new concert production featuring a collection of songs from musicals in development by Festival alumni and writers new to Human Race audiences.

Pride Films and Plays Adds 4/27 'SONGS' Performance

Pride Films and Plays has announced that an extra performance of the hit musical Songs From An Unmade Bed has been added for Sunday, April 27 at 3:00. The final performance is still scheduled for that same day at 7:30.

Pride Films & Plays' next mainstage show is the Chicago premiere of Mark Campbell's musical revue Songs from an Unmade Bed, a love letter to gay men living in the city. Songs From An Unmade Bed is performed by Kevin Webb* and Jordan Phelps*, joined by understudies Jonas Davidow and Tommy Thurston on percussion, and is directed by Derek Van Barham*, under the music direction of Robert Ollis*. BWW Reviews: Tony-Winning Superstar Patti LuPone Journeys to the OC with FAR AWAY PLACES

To witness---and, yes, hear---Tony Award-winning legend Patti LuPone on a stage live-belting the bejesus out of a note (well, several notes, really) is just another not-so-subtle reminder for newbies and veterans alike why she's such a one-of-a-kind, ultra-talented star in the first place. She can, pretty much, take any piece of music and make it sound... well, effortlessly incredible. The results? Jaws dropped. Audible 'wows' echoed. Cheers were deafening and plentiful. That prowess was certainly in full-display on the evening of March 22, when LuPone came to Costa Mesa's Segerstrom Concert Hall for a one-night-only performance of her latest high-concept concert entitled FAR AWAY PLACES.

Patti LuPone Ventures to FAR AWAY PLACES for Segerstrom Center Cabaret Series Tonight
