Daren Fuster has been appointed Director of Operations and Artistic Administration for the acclaimed Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO), announced Executive Director Rachel Fine, who added that Fuster will oversee artistic administration, production, general operations, as well as education and community programs. Fuster replaces long-time LACO administrator Andrea Laguni, who is stepping down after 19 years at LACO to serve as an arts consultant.
Toronto Public Library has announced its programming line-up for its Keep Toronto Reading Festival, running April 1-30, 2014. This year's city-wide celebration of reading spotlights the library's One Book community read, The Cellist of Sarajevo by Steven Galloway. The themes of this bestselling novel - hope despite adversity, human resilience and artistic expression in times of conflict - will be explored at dozens of library branches throughout Toronto.
