The Minty Organization, the non-profit company which oversees The Minty Awards, is gearing for one of the most exciting nights of Staten Island theatre- The Sixth Annual Minty Awards, set for Sunday, June 5 at 7pm at the historic St. George Theatre (35 Hyatt Street).

Rack have announced details for WICKED LIT 2014, the 6th annual immersive theatre event that will take place at Mountain View Mausoleum and Cemetery in Altadena, California. The production will run from October 3-November 8, 2014.

The Coralville Center for the Performing Arts will present Joss Whedon's Much Ado About Nothing on Friday, October 18th at 8 PM & midnight. The 8 PM show features a special performance by the inimitable Megan Gogerty. Tickets cost only $8, and are available via the CCPA Box Office: 319-248-9370. The Box Office is open Wed/Thurs/Fri 11:00-1:00 & 4:00-6:00, and Saturdays 12:00-4:00, and one hour before ticketed performances. On Sunday, October 20 at 2 p.m., Louis Barrella, Louis Leonini and Snjezana Smodlaka will present "Giuseppe Verdi: Celebrating the Man, His Music and Times," at the Garibaldi-Meucci Museum. This DVD presentation will celebrate the 200th anniversary of Verdi's birth on October 10, 1813.

Today, May 20 at 2 p.m. Professor Louis Leonini will present "The Songs of Papa and Nana: Italian Immigrants' Culture Preserved in Music." He will be tracing popular folksongs of various Italian regions that are still heard today, as well as classic songs and singers from the two large waves of Italian immigration-1880-1924, and the mid-1950s.

Unbound Productions Co-Artistic Directors Jonathan Josephson, Paul Millet, and Jeff G. Rack have announced the line-up and casting for two full productions of the popular horror story adaptation series WICKED LIT that will take place at Mountain View Mausoleum and Cemetery in Altadena, California. Production A (October 21-November 5, 2011) will consist of a remount of three plays that the theatre company produced as part of last year's engagement: Charles Dickens' The Chimes, H.P. Lovecraft's The Unnamable and Edgar Allan Poe's The Cask of Amontillado.
