Lovejoy and Executive Director Veronique Le Melle on Monday, September 29 for a ribbon-cutting, rededication, and celebration in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts. Israeli Stage, sharing the diversity and vitality of Israeli culture through theatre, proudly announces 2014-2015, its fifth anniversary season, featuring its first full theatrical production: the North American premiere of Ulysses on Bottles by Gilad Evron, winner of Best Israeli Play (2012), presented in partnership with ArtsEmerson: The World On Stage. This new drama features award-winning actors Jeremiah Kissel, Will Lyman, and Karen MacDonald, all who performed in the Israeli Stage staged reading of this play in 2012 at the Goethe-Institut Boston. Performances will take place April 9-25, 2015 in the Jackie Liebergott Black Box at the Emerson/Paramount Center (559 Washington Street) in Boston's theatre district. Israeli Stage and CJP partner to present Savyon Liebrecht's The Banality of Love on BU's campus as a campus-wide initiative to commemorate Yom Ha'Shoa (Holocaust Day). Some 400+ students are expected to attend from the Greater Boston Area. Written by Theresa Rebeck, creator of the TV show Smash, Seminar is a contemporary comedy which tells the story of four young writers who hire a world-famous novelist to teach a seminar. When tempers, egos and libidos flare, these students end up getting the schooling of their lives. 'Theresa Rebeck is one of the main reasons we are doing this show. She's a wonderfully talented and very funny writer,' Symes added. 'I couldn't pass up the opportunity to produce her newest play.'
