The actress stopped by this week's TODAY on NBC and explains why jumped at the opportunity to return to the theater in the high-flying role.

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University has released a sneak peek at the world premiere of Witness Uganda, created by Matt Gould and Griffin Matthews, directed by A.R.T. Artistic Director Diane Paulus, with choreography by Darrell Grand Moultrie and Music Director, Remy Kurs. The production begins performances at the Loeb Drama Center at 64 Brattle Street, Cambridge on February 4, and will run through March 16. Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominee Annie Potts ('Designing Women,' God of Carnage) will assume the role of 'Berthe' in the production beginning Tuesday, January 21, 2014 and we've got a first look at her in the show!

Yesterday at 88 Madison Avenue, the cast of Pippin celebrated the show's new partnership with Carlton Hotel with a live performance, nail art painting provided by Caravan Stylist Studio and circus-inspired refreshments provided by the Carlton hotel. The Carlton hotel's new PIPPIN the Musical Package will be available starting January, running through March 2014. The package includes overnight luxury accommodations, tickets to PIPPIN, cocktails at restaurant Millesime and a CD soundtrack from the show.

The Hollywood Pantages, a Nederlander Theatre, reveals its lineup for the 2014-2015 SEASON, featuring six blockbuster productions currently playing to sold-out houses on Broadway and a new production of a beloved title.

The producers of the Tony Award winning PIPPIN just announced that Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominee Annie Potts ("Designing Women," God of Carnage) will assume the role of "Berthe" in the production beginning Tuesday, January 21, 2014. Four-time Tony Award nominee Tovah Feldshuh will play her final performance in the role on Sunday, January 19th. PIPPIN is now playing at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street).

The producers of the Tony Award winning PIPPIN have announced that the show has officially recouped its $8.5 million capitalization costs as of the Sunday, December 1, 2013 performance. The show also broke the Music Box Theatre house record last week for the highest grossing single performance on the evening of Friday, November 29th with $151,219. The record was then broken again on the evening of Saturday, November 30th with $151,977 gross sales. Roger O. The Tony-Award winning Broadway cast of PIPPIN has joined the line-up of performances in the nation's most beloved spectacle, the Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which returns for the 87th year of magic on Thursday, November 28 (9 a.m. - noon EST; check local listings) throughout the country live on NBC. The cast will perform "Corner of the Sky" and "Magic to Do."

The first national tour of Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical is coming to Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Orange County, from tonight, October 22 - 27. Single tickets, which start at $25, will go on sale Monday, August 12 at 10 a.m.
