NYC & Company, New York City's official marketing, tourism and partnership organization, New York Comedy Festival and Comedy Central present the second annual Comedy Week, today, November 5-11.
The American Red Cross and NBCUniversal announced yesterday that 'Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together,' a live, one-hour benefit telethon, generated nearly $23 million in support of victims impacted by Hurricane Sandy. As the votes are tallied, the comedy commences. COMEDY CENTRAL will broadcast and stream LIVE Election Night episodes of 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart' and 'The Colbert Report' back-to-back from 11:00-11:30 p.m. ET (8:00-8:30 p.m. PT) and 11:30-mindnight ET (8:30-9:00 p.m. PT) respectively. In addition, both LIVE Election Night episodes will also be simulcast on MTV's 44½ JumboTron in the heart of Times Square on Broadway between West 44th Street and West 45th Street.
On Friday night "Jimmy Kimmel Live" concluded its week-long run of shows from Brooklyn's Harvey Theater at BAM - Brooklyn Academy of Music. In an effort to support the thousands of people still suffering from the effects of Hurricane Sandy, "JKL" and ABC will auction off Kimmel's custom-made, Brooklyn-themed desk signed by late-night talk show hosts David Letterman, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel.
