Concert Artists Guild presents the adventurous young cellist Jay Campbell, First Prize Winner of the 2012 CAG Victor Elmaleh Competition, on its Concerts in New York series on Monday evening, March 10th at 7:30 p.m. at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. Together with pianist Conor Hanick, Jay offers a program that reflects his dedication to new music, presented within an historical framework.

After performing nationwide in 2012-13 throughout the U.S. and Canada, LIAISONS: Re-Imagining Sondheim from the Piano featuring internationally renowned contemporary pianist Anthony de Mare comes to the Mondavi Center for two nights only March 29 (8:00om) and 30 (2:00pm). Based on the music of the legendary composer/lyricist Stephen Sondheim, LIAISONS is an intrepid program of new, solo piano works by some of the world's foremost contemporary composers - this marks the first time that Sondheim songs have ever been re-imagined for solo piano. Commissioned purely for this landmark project, composers from the realms of classical, jazz, film, pop, musical theater, opera and avant-garde music have come together to pay homage to Sondheim, whose music has dominated American musical theater for the past four decades. LIAISONS' 2012-13 nationwide tour has made stops in San Francisco, New York City, Fort Worth, and Hudson Opera House, to name a few, and will continue throughout 2014. La MaMa Experimental Theatre and Yara Arts Group will present 'Captain John Smith Goes to Ukraine' February 27 to March 9. This experimental theater work, created by Bob Holman (Bowery Poetry Club), performance artist Susan Hwang, Ukrainian musician Julian Kytasty and director Virlana Tkacz, deals with Capt. Smith's adventures in Eastern Europe circa 1603, where he first met 'other' people and gained experience that helped him prepare for dealing with Native Americans as founder of Jamestown.

Urban Angels with music by Karl Jenkins, choreography by Tom Gold, costumes by Janie Taylor is inspired by the weeping angels from the Dr. Who television show where these angels might look beautiful but move with a velocity that will astound you. The Ladies Room, music by Claude Debussy, choreography by Tom Gold is what happens when ladies meet in the ladies room. Find out as three ladies gather to reveal the private moments of what is happening in their life and come along with these three women on their own journey. A revival of La Plage, with music by John Zorn and choreography by Tom Gold is a journey from a tropical rainforest to the mythical La Plage where exotic creatures roam the beach and end in a fun beach romp.

Exploring centuries-old songs from across Europe's many oral traditions, Murder, Betrayal, and the Supernatural - The Art of the Balladeer and Kobzaribrings together two remarkable artists: Colleen Cleveland, a fifth-generation traditional ballad singer from New York's north country; and Julian Kytasty, a third-generation bandura player and singer. Themes of love, religion, history, legends, tragedy, and humor come to life as Cleveland and Kytasty revive songs passed down since the Middle Ages, from Ukraine's blind epic singers to the Scots Irish ballad tradition.
