THE most successful comedy farce of all time comes to Limelight Theatre this July and August. Written by Ray Cooney and directed Susan Vincent, Run For Your Wife had a nine-year run in London's West End after debuting in 1983.
The fast-paced comedy follows taxi driver John Smith, a man with two wives and two apartments, who juggles his life between the two homes on a tight schedule.
The new musical Lisa and Leonardo will be presented at this year's New York Musical Festival. With music by Donya Lane, lyrics by Ed McNamee and book by Donna Lane, Ed McNamee & Michael Unger. Lisa and Leonardo will be directed by Michelle Tattenbaum with musical direction by Robert Frost and choreography by Jonathan Cerullo. Two former educators and local playwrights have collaborated to develop a Multi-Media Musical play chronicling the Life and times of historic Riverboat Captain Tom Ryman, builder of what we now know to be the Ryman Auditorium. The piece is uniquely told through the eyes of Tom Ryman's wife, Bettie Baugh circa ( 1847 -1926) The work is entitled 'The Ryman Diaries'. It is based from a book of the same title authored by Ms. Debbie Watts, a twenty-five year veteran of the Sumner County, Tennessee, School System. Ms. Watts interest in the Ryman's story date back to her student years working as a performer in the Opryland Theme Park singing as the female soloist in Roy Acuff's 'Smokey Mountain Boys Band'.
