Burkmar was shortlisted with six other emerging choreographers: Corey Baker, Tara D'Arquian, Alexandra Green, Eleesha Drennan, Andrew McNicol and Matt Nicholson. In June 2015 Finn was announced as the new Artistic Director of National Dance Company Wales.
