The Next Generation program was developed to encourage adults to bring youth to live theatre performances. Through the MasterCard Next Generation program, Black Rep Patrons may obtain a complimentary youth ticket when a regular priced adult ticket is purchased using a MasterCard. When patrons use their MasterCard, but do not utilize the free youth ticket, the ticket is 'banked' for future use.
THE ME NOBODY KNOWS is a musical plea for understanding by a group of underprivileged children that's set in one of the poorer neighborhoods of New York City. It's an indictment of our current social and economic conditions that this show, written in 1970, explores themes and issues that still resonate with audiences today. The current production by the Black Rep is a rousing and entertaining show that features a young and talented cast.

John Reed, best known for his work on numerous Gilbert and Sullivan productions, died at the age of 94 on February 13th, his 94th birthday. Reed was known for his stage work and was specifically noted for being one of the best at handling the Gilbert and Sullivan patter song.

If you're so inclined, I heartily recommend the Black Rep's joyous production of Langston Hughes' BLACK NATIVITY. The Guthrie today announced that audiences will have another opportunity to see Jane Eyre when its popular stage adaptation of the classic Charlotte Brontë novel returns for a limited engagement in March 2008.
The Guthrie announced the return of Jane Eyre, its popular stage adaptation of the classic Charlotte Bronte novel for a limited engagement in March 2008. The production, directed by Associate Artistic Director John Miller-Stephany, will play 20 performances on the Wurtele Thrust Stage from March 8 - 30.
