About Face Theatre has announced its full line-up of 2014-15 programming, kicking off this fall with the Chicago premiere of METHTACULAR!, Steven Strafford's hilarious and harrowing autobiographical account of his three year crystal meth addiction in Chicago. In the winter, AFT presents the Chicago premiere of Daniel Pearle's A KID LIKE JAKE, a contemporary look at gender seen through the lens of parents shepherding their Cinderella-loving son through the rigors of NYC kindergarten admissions. Next spring, AFT presents another Chicago premiere - Bixby Elliot's comedy ABRAHAM LINCOLN WAS A F*GG*T, a teen's touching and hilarious quest to prove the truth behind our 16th President's sexual orientation.

54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, has announced Big River, Kiss of the Spider Woman and Mame as the next three musical scores to be celebrated in its acclaimed '54 Sings' series.

Few legends come along as brassy and powerful as Elaine Stritch, and so it's time to 'Rise, Rise, Rise' in tribute to her. On September 12 (9:30pm), director Eric Ulloa and Music Director John McDaniel will present an all star Broadway cast singing the songs that made Stritch famous and telling the stories that made her infamous. So, come join us for an evening of great music, memories, food and of course cocktails.

Broadway vets and friends of the late stage legend Elaine Stritch will gather at 54 Below for a one-night-only concert on September 12, it was announced today. Scheduled to perform at this time are Christine Ebersole, Beth Leavel, Jeremy Benton, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka, and Lindsie VanWinkle, with more appearances to be announced as the date draws closer.

On July 23 and 24, performers Jim Caruso and Billy Stritch (along with bass player Steve Doyle) took their swinging, sophisticated nightclub act to the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center Cabaret & Performance Conference in Waterford, CT. The duo performed in concert, and also participated in a talk-back with the students who are interested in creating their own one-person shows on the cabaret scene. Scroll down for photos!

After a sold-out benefit run for BC/EFA this February, PAGEANT - THE MUSICAL returns in a limited Off-Broadway engagement at The Davenport Theatre (354 West 45th Street). The show officially opened last night, July 14, 2014. The cast of tiara-crazed beauties includes Nick Cearley ('The Skivvies'),Nic Cory (Signs of Life), Alex Ringler (West Side Story), Marty Thomas (Wicked, Xanadu), Seth Tucker (Our Kiki), and Curtis Wiley (Motown), with John Bolton (A Christmas Story, 'Gossip Girl') as the host. JJJ Productions in Association with Culture Project and Aaron Grant Theatrical, Inc have announced that the world premiere of THE ANTHEM, an original musical lovingly inspired by the classic Ayn Rand Novella, 'Anthem', with a book by Gary Morgenstein, music by Jonnie Rockwell and lyrics by Erik Ransom will begin previews tonight, May 20, 2014, Off-Broadway at Culture Project's Lynn Redgrave Theatre on 45 Bleecker Street. This musical helmed by Rachel Klein officially opens on Thursday, May 29, 2014.

John McDaniel, Artistic Director of the MAC Directors Award winning Cabaret and Performance Conference at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, announced that applications for the Cabaret Fellows Program will be accepted until Friday, May 23. The Conference brings some of the biggest names in Cabaret Theater to perform at the O'Neill each summer, providing valuable development and performance training for up-and-coming performers on the cabaret scene.

PATTI ISSUES, the hit Off-Broadway play is set to play Miami Beach on Friday, May 9th at 8pm (presented by legendary Broadway and concert producer-director Richard Jay-Alexander in association with Edison Farrow and South Beach Cabaret) at The Cabaret South Beach (233 12th Street, Miami Beach, FL 33139).

On Monday, April 28, Symphony Space hosted its spring gala, Fiddler at 50 to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of Fiddler on the Roof. The evening also honored the 90th birthday of Sheldon Harnick, the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning lyricist behind the iconic musical. The Symphony Space's Gala, held at Capitale, was co-chaired by Lenore Davis and Amy Wilson. Honorary co-chairs for the evening were Mary Rodgers Guettel, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Harold Prince, and Stephen Sondheim.
