The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present the onstage collaboration of award-winning British cabaret singer Barb Jungr and Grammy and two-time Emmy-winning composer/arranger/musical director John McDaniel, in a brand new show. "That's Life," a one-night-only event, took place at Birdland on Monday, November 28.

Barb Jungr is a maverick. She sings R&B and blues from her gut, can slide into jazz phrasing like muted brass, dismantles what we classify as rock so it's stripped to its meaningful bone, has a fervent moral compass, and is characteristically acerbic. Whether her voice rips or ripples, it's authentic. You can tell I'm a fan. In an effort, one conjectures, to broaden her appeal, she's lately partnered with musician John McDaniel, whose background is theater. While the two are amiable on stage and offer appealing harmony, arrangements sound the same--- somewhere between Broadway and pop, no matter what the material. Almost all vocals with McDaniel are brighter, louder, and faster than they might be.

Following its recent critically acclaimed premier at the North Carolina Stage Company this past May, BNW DEVELOPMENTAL, LLC will present a private developmental reading of BRAVE NEW WORLD: THE MUSICAL in Midtown Manhattan early December 2016.

Shortly before an audition for her first professional Shakespeare play, gifted and entitled young actor Anna arrives in a college rehearsal hall expecting help from brilliant, bitter acting instructor Curt. When their work together leads to professional success but personal misery, they must decide whether or not to break their Shakespeare code and uncover how they really feel about each other.

The Off Broadway Alliance, the organization of Off Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents, and marketing firms, will hold the next event in its Free Seminars series, focused on the Off Broadway Casting Process on Sunday October 23rd, 2016.

Original "Jersey Boy" Michael Longoria will return to Joe's Pub at The Public to perform BROADWAY BRICK BY BRICK on Sunday, September 18 at 7:00pm.

Tony Award winner Anthony Crivello will join the cast of Studio Tenn and Tennessee Performinig Arts Center's production of Evita this September, playing the role of Juan Peron. Playing opposite Crivello in the eponymous role of Eva Peron is Broadway diva Eden Espinosa.

Running September 9-18 at TPAC's Andrew Jackson Hall, Broadway's Eden Espinosa will lead Studio Tenn's EVITA. Check out a trailer for the production below!

Asheville, N.C. - North Carolina Stage Company (NC Stage) welcomes Broadway's Justin Matthew Sargent as the lead for its world premiere of BRAVE NEW WORLD: THE MUSICAL.

The hit musical, Happy Days, is based on the Paramount Pictures' television series. The series' original creator Garry Marshall wrote the book.  Happy Days features 21 songs, including the series' iconic theme song, by Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe award-winning songwriter Paul Williams, with orchestrator and arranger, John McDaniel.
