INTAR Announces The Cast For LUCY LOVES ME

INTAR (Lou Moreno, Artistic Director/John McCormack, Executive Director) today announced the cast for the first of the two plays for its Winter/Spring 2013 season: Lucy Loves Me, written by Migdalia Cruz, directed by Lou Moreno, will star Annie Henk, Bertha Leal, and Gerardo Rodriguez.

INTAR (Lou Moreno, Artistic Director/John McCormack, Executive Director) today announced the two plays for its Winter/Spring 2013 season: Lucy Loves Me, written by Migdalia Cruz, directed by Lou Moreno, and Pinkolandia written by Andrea Thome, directed by Jose Zayas. Lucy Loves Me will begin performances Off-Broadway Friday February 22nd continuing through March 24th. Pinkolandia begins performances Friday, May 3rd and will continue through May 26th.
Both Lucy Loves Me and Pinkoldandia are products of INTAR's legendary Maria Irene Fornés Hispanic Playwrights-in-Residence Laboratory (MIF HPRL).

The Kansas City Irish Center and Lyric Opera of Kansas City previously announced a collaborative benefit concert to support both organizations. 'An Evening with Alfie Boe' will feature the acclaimed British tenor on the final stop of his first tour of the United States, 7 p.m. tonight, May 6 at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.

Tenor Anthony Kearns, kicked off his Spring Tour on March 2, 2012 at Kansas City Union Station's Grand Opening Gala and a special performance at the VooDoo Lounge (North Kansas City) on March 3. He wrapped up his multi-city solo tour on March 27 at the JFK Presidential Library in Boston, MA. We have a photo of Kearns with accompanist Dale Morehouse of the University of Missouri Kansas City and publicist Kirsten Fedewa.

The VIP musical wine reception on Thurs., October 20, 2011, hosted by the ONE Campaign at the Embassy of New Zealand in Washington, D.C. for the USO and Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, was a triumphant success. This was the first time that the ONE Campaign teamed up with Irish Tenor Anthony Kearns for the USO, and the second time the New Zealand Embassy hosted Kearns for a military benefit. (The last time was Christmas 2010).
