After ten years of being 'bumped,' Academy Award winner Matt Damon will at long-last appear on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." Damon and Kimmel will face off THURSDAY, JANUARY 24 at 11:35 p.m., ET/PT, when Damon makes his first official guest appearance on the show.

Promised Land is the new contemporary drama directed by Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting, Milk). Matt Damon plays Steve Butler, an ace corporate salesman who is sent along with his partner, Sue Thomason (Frances McDormand), to close a key rural town in his company's expansion plans. With the town having been hit hard by the economic decline of recent years, the two outsiders see the local citizens as likely to accept their company's offer, for drilling rights to their properties, as much-needed relief.

The Berlin Film Festival has announced the names of the first film titles that will compete at the 63rd event in February, 2013. Included in the line-up will be the premiere of Gus Van Sant's Promised Land starring and written by, Matt Damon and John Krasinski. DreamWorks Animation's The Croods will also premiere at the event, running from February 7-17.
