Impetuous Theater Group & The Brick Theater, Inc. present THE VIGIL or THE GUIDED CRADLE: A play about torture. Written by Crystal Skillman. Directed by John Hurley.
In theater, audiences and artists are always confronted with the immediate moment - the perpetual 'now.' But what if we're not ready? What if we need a few more minutes to take a deep breath and ask ourselves: Is it too soon to make jokes about your friend's abortion? Is it too soon to give up on a failed government?
"Champagne Pam" (Pamela Lewis) uncorks a rare and complex blend of sweet, slightly tart and full-bodied cabaret that seeks to attract new audiences to the art form. The premiere will be in the beautiful, intimate setting of The Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street, NY, NY on Thur. and Fri., Apr. 29 and 30, 2010, at 9:30 p.m.
